christy was born and has lived most of her life in charlotte, nc.
she has experienced many things for being so young and, while attending uncc to become a photographer,
she has learned that art is a way for her to express herself.
this year has been very exciting for me.
i am currently taking the black and white printing class at uncc.
this year's projects have been incredibly experimental and creative.
these images were all taken this semester and i feel they are my strongest work so far.
i love finding unusual and interesting images and creating a narrative with them.
i also excel at making portraits for people. i have been focusing more on ethereal and surreal photography.
an image that evokes emotion is necessary in my work.
i feel there is a need for the viewer to have a more direct relationship
with images and impose their own life experiences into each piece.
